Handling of Specimens and Data

Specimens and data contain important research and clinical information, including personal information. We confirm the intended use and handling conditions and strive to manage them properly from receipt and storage through measurement and analysis to return or disposal.

01

Receipt, Identification and Storage

By checking specimens against the request information and confirming their identifiers and condition, we prevent mix-ups and confusion, and store them under conditions suited to their characteristics and the contract.

02

Scope of Use

We use specimens and data only for the agreed work and within the permitted scope. For use in other research or provision to third parties, we confirm the contract, consent and necessary procedures.

03

Data Reliability

We record measurement and analysis conditions and processing history, and attach importance to keeping results verifiable. We also manage data so that the details of and reasons for corrections and changes can be traced.

04

Retention, Return and Disposal

Retention periods, the handling of residual specimens and methods of return or disposal are handled based on our rules and the contract, with the conditions confirmed at the time of the request.

03
